Our History:
American Temperature Control was founded in the spring of 1987 by its owner and
president, Douglas Krahl. American Temperature Control is a HVAC Contractor
turned Building Performance Contractor. After years of installing heating, air
conditioning and indoor air quality products and hearing common comfort complaints
from my customers about their homes and only seeing the construction/building
industries poor attempt to fixing the problems with band aids or not at all. I knew there
had to be another way. After 6 years of research I’ve became a founding member of
Efficiency First, a Participant at Affordable Comfort Institute, I’m Building
Performance Institute Dual Certified, A Building Performance Institute Accredited
Contractor, and work with Comed, Honeywell, Nicor and other organizations.
Our Mission:
American Temperature Controls mission is to provide real world solutions for real
world problems using building science and laws of physics. Reduce our global impact
by recycle all construction debris. Complete all job above standard construction codes.
We like to see our accomplishments take flight.

I just wanted to thank you for doing a great job in
cleaning my ducts and especially my dryer vent, I
cannot believe how bad it was and that I had not
had a fire yet. So thank you very much and now
my clothes are done fast drying it is amazing, keep
up the good work.
